Below is a list of examination we offer in bbodance and their levels. Our students take a cross section of Graded Exams (ages 7+), Performance Awards (under 7 or in Year 2 and below) and Dance Awards. If you do not take an examination on this occasion you will take a Dance Award and then continue to progress towards the examination.

 

Students have different reasons for learning to dance; because of that, we provide different pathways for vocational training and dance for pleasure, so that all types of students can be rewarded for their achievement and dedication.

• For students who desire to undergo rigorous dance training and progress to higher Grades and university or Vocational study, we offer examinations certified by Ofqual and Qualifications Wales. 
  
  They are:
  
  o   Graded Examinations
  o   Vocational Graded Examinations (Intermediate Foundation +)
  
  To prepare students under 7 years old for Graded Examinations, we also offer Pre-Graded Exams certified by our internal board.
   

• For students who wish to evidence their learning but not take on a full Graded or Vocational Graded Examination, we have designed exams certified by our internal board. They focus on artistry, musicality, and creativity.

  o   Performance Awards 
  o   Dance Awards

Regardless of the route they take, all students are awarded for their achievements through a Certificate and, where relevant, a mark breakdown. Students gaining a Dance Award receive a badge, medal, or other tokens of success. bbodance is an inclusive organisation – our examinations and assessments are available to everyone. Students with disabilities, special needs, or learning difficulties will be given the support they need in order to succeed.
