Frequently Asked Questions
What should I wear to my first class?
New students are advised to wear something comfortable that allows them to move freely and safely. For example, leggings anf a tshirt would be appropriate with bare feet.
Can we come to a trial/taster class?
Yes, we offer a two week trial at a disocunted rate of £10.00. Please get in touch with the school and we can send you a link to select your trials dates and book online.
Can my child join midway through a term?
Students may enrol at any point during the year.
What age can my child enrol from?
Children can enrol from the age of 18 months for a TIny Dancer classes. This is a parent and child class and parents can facilitate their childs participation. From the age of 3 children progress to the Pre-school class where we encourage children to take part in the lesson independently.
How are fees charged?
Fees are invoiced termly, each term is 5 or 6 weeks in length dependending on the time of year.
Do you follow school terms?
Yes, our terms follow the school year as best we can, we do book our venues at the beginning of the academic year and release these dates in our website.
My child is very shy/quiet, they may take time to settle.
This is copmletly understandable, a lot of children are naturally cautious with new people and settings. Ballet and dance are wonderful hobbies to boost children’s confidence. We offer a two week trial as we know it may take a few weeks for children to feel comfortable. If there is anything we can do to help your child in any way please do get in touch.
Where are classes held?
We have two venues:
Hooe and Turnchapel Commuinty Centre on Church Hill Road PL9 9SE. The entrance is opposite the allotements: ///ending.newest.leaps
Endeavour Hall, Crownhihll. Free parking is in the Nova Homes carpark. ///cure.same.hidden . The hall is the other side of the bushes: ///dads.bunch.retire
